This is a contoured latex-free sponge that is shaped for easy handling and easy application of liquid or creamy foundations and concealers.  It can be used dry, but is best used when damp, since the moisture acts as a barrier that prevents the sponge from absorbing too much product.  The flat end of the damp sponge can also be used to add powder or to lift off excess powder, as well as to just give a cooling and refreshing touch at the conclusion of the makeup application.
